Road Trip Pins is a travel-journal and mapping app operated by Crazy2b Digital. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may access, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

Information the App May Access

Road Trip Pins may access the following information when you choose to use related features:

• Location: Used to show your position, save trip stops, move pins, search nearby places, calculate route distance, and record route breadcrumbs while the app is open.
• Photos and Camera: Used only when you choose to take or select photos for a saved stop or save selected photos back to your photo library.
• Purchase Information: Used to confirm and restore your Road Trip Pins Premium subscription through Apple.
• Travel Content: Stops, notes, tags, trip names, route data, photos, wish-list entries, and related travel information that you create in the app.

How Information Is Used

The information accessed by Road Trip Pins is used to provide app features, including:

• Saving and displaying travel stops and trip memories
• Showing maps, locations, routes, and nearby search results
• Attaching photos, notes, categories, and tags to saved stops
• Providing weather information for saved locations
• Backing up, restoring, sharing, or exporting data when you request it
• Verifying Premium subscription access

Data Storage

Road Trip Pins stores your trip information locally on your device. The app does not require you to create a Road Trip Pins account. Your data may leave your device only when you choose to export, share, or back it up, or when a feature needs to contact a third-party service such as maps, place search, weather, or Apple's purchase system.

Third-Party Services

Road Trip Pins may interact with the following services:

• Apple App Store and StoreKit: Used for subscription purchases and purchase restoration.
• Apple Maps or Google Maps: Used when you choose to open directions.
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim: Used for place search and map-related location information.
• Open-Meteo: Used to retrieve weather information for saved locations.
• Expo and device operating-system services: Used to provide location, media, file, sharing, and app functionality.

These services may process limited technical or location information according to their own privacy policies.

Tracking and Advertising

Road Trip Pins does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Location Controls

You can control location access at any time through your device settings. Some location-based features may not function if access is disabled. Route tracking is intended to operate only while the app is open.

Photo Controls

Road Trip Pins accesses only the photos you choose to select or create through the app. You can change camera and photo-library permissions through your device settings.

Backups and Exports

When you create a backup or export a GPX, KML, or other file, you control where that file is saved or shared. You are responsible for protecting exported files once they leave the app.

Children's Privacy

Road Trip Pins is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require account registration and does not include social networking or targeted advertising.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it within the app, remove the app, restore from a backup, or otherwise erase the device data. Exported or shared files must be deleted from their destination separately.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when app features or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
